In 2017 we reach our 90th year serving the people of Braunstone as your Parish Council.  It is also the 40th anniversary since our community became a Town.   

Mission Statement.
We exist to ensure that local services and the environment reach the highest possible standards within the resources available for citizens, visitors and those who work in Braunstone Town; to provide a focus for civic pride; to listen, identify and respond to agreed local needs; and to help develop a strong, secure, self reliant, self confident community, free from unlawful discrimination. "Spectemur. Agendo" translates "Let us be Judged by Our Actions"

    Audit of Town Council Concluded

    The External Audit of Braunstone Town Council has been concluded and has reported that our accounts have been prepared in accordance with the proper practices and that the Council has maintained throughout the year good standards of corporate governance.   

    Our End of Year Financial Statements, a summary of our Corporate Governance practices, the report of our internal auditor and the conclusions of the External Audit can be found by clickinghere.   Alternatively they can be viewed at our Community Centres.

    The very popular Christmas Gifts and Craft Fair will again be held at the Civic Centre including two rooms of stalls with a wide variety of gifts and crafts to start your Christmas shopping. There will also be the tea room and refreshments. Net proceeds from the event will be donated to the Town Mayor's Charity, Rainbows.

    Like a challenge?  Then join us for a Quiz and Games Night!  A night of fun and games, to relax and enjoy but be prepared to use your grey matter!  Bring along your friends to give you a hand. It will be entertaining and all in a good cause - the Braunstone Town Community Minibus Project.

    Featuring the Ratby Co-operative Mid Band

    Ratby Mid Band are once again performing their annual Christmas Extravaganza.  Come listen and join in with traditional and more modern Christmas music.  Get in the Christmas spirit and relax to a great evening of fun.  The Ratby Mid band will have their usual raffle and there will be mince pies and drinks for a small donation. We look forward to seeing you and don’t forget to bring a friend. Net proceeds to be donated to the Ratby Co-operative Mid Band.

    The Town Council is pleased to be able to support Tennis Coaching at the Thorpe Astley Community Centre Tennis Courts during the 2017 summer season. Weekly tennis coaching sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings 6pm - 8.30pm.
