(VARIOUS ROADS, BRAUNSTONE,ENDERBY,STONEY STANTON AND WHETSTONE) (AMENDMENT 8)
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:
- To impose a mandatory school keep clear Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm on part of Kingsway North, Braunstone.
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plans illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA at the offices of Blaby District Council, Desford Road, Leicester LE19 2EP, at the offices of Braunstone Town Council, Braunstone Civic Centre, Kingsway, Braunstone Town, Leicester LE3 2PP. ADVANCE NOTICE OF A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER.
A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the following location: TURNBULL DRIVE, BRAUNSTONE (see attached plan).
The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council contractors to facilitate junction maintenance and related works.
The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure at the junction.
The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 1 day commencing on the 12 December 2018.
A Press Release will be issued to confirm these details approximately 2 weeks prior to the works commencing.
DEPARTMENT FOR TRANSPORT TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of two part-widths of Sunway, adjoining number 7 Sunway, at Braunstone in the District of Blaby.
If made, the Order would authorise the stopping up only to enable development as permitted by Blaby District Council under reference 17/1717/FUL.
Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan will be available for inspection during normal opening hours at Blaby District Council, Council Offices, Desford Road, Narborough LE19 2EP in the 28 days commencing on 12 October 2018, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the address stated below quoting NATTRAN/EM/S247/3503.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER:- FOOTPATH OFF NARBOROUGH ROAD SOUTH (WEST SERVICE ROAD), BRAUNSTONE
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
A temporary traffic regulation order has been agreed for a prohibition of pedestrians and cyclists to the footpath close to Lubbesthorpe Road junction accessing Osiers nature park. Alternative access will be available from the footpath nearer to the Asda roundabout.
The footpath will be closed from 29 October 2018 for approximately 2 weeks.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for EE Telecoms contractors to dismantle and remove telecoms obsolete equipment from the land adjacent to the footpath.
The proposed alternative diversion route will be signed on site.
Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.
