Duty Officer – Community Centres
HOURS: Part-time, 546 hours per annum, average 10½ hours per week (varies from week to week). Includes evenings and weekends
GRADE: NJC Scale points 11 – 14 (based on 546 hours: £5,720 - £6,069, plus additional hours payments where applicable).
CONTRACT: Permanent (subject to 6 months’ probation)
CLOSING DATE: 9am, Monday 14th October 2019.
INTERVIEW DATE: Friday 25th October 2019.
Braunstone Town Council is looking for a reliable person to provide safety and security of the Council’s premises to act as the first point of contact for all issues arising during the duty period and to ensure these are resolved where possible.
You will be the first point of contact, liaising with all visitors, including dealing with the needs and requirements of hirers, and booking enquiries in a polite and efficient manner.
You will also be a keyholder for the Council’s buildings including responsibility for responding to emergency call outs.
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have a proactive approach, are flexible with your shift patterns (to include evenings and weekends), you’re willing to work at both the Council’s Centres and able to provide cover for both holidays and sickness.
