SUMMER READING CHALLENGE 2024 - MARVELLOUS MAKERS TEDDY BEARS PICNIC - 26TH JULY 2024
The Summer Reading Challenge is a FREE holiday activity for children. It's all about reading for fun, aiming to improve children's reading skills and confidence. It runs every year and all children aged 4 -11 are welcome to take part, with the challenge being to read 6 or more library books over the summer.
Children who take part:
- are more enthusiastic about reading
- maintain their reading level over the holidays
- return to schools keen and ready to learn
- boost their confidence and self-esteem
Library Services
Daily newspapers, computer access, photocopier access, book borrowing, jigsaw swap, book sales, childrens'crafts, building blocks and games.
Opening hours as follows:
Monday: 2pm – 6pm
Tuesday: 2pm – 5pm
Wednesdays: 10am – 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
Thursday: 2pm – 5pm
Friday: 10am – 12pm and 2pm - 5pm
Saturday: 10am - 1pm
